Where does this perception that Obama is inarticulate come from?
It’s received wisdom amongst the GOP that the man is incapable of stringing two sentences together without a teleprompter. They seem sure that as soon as he’s on stage in a debate with a republican, he’s going to get his ass handed to him.
How do you square that with the fact that judging by national opinion polls, Obama won every debate against McCain?
I don’t get it. He’s not Demosthenes or Martin Luther King, I guess, but he’s clearly an able orator and debater.
